Pray for God's Mercy

The latest news about harvesting and selling aborted baby parts is almost unbelievable! Yet, when it comes to money,  breaking the law doesn't always go into the equation. I've heard and read how these video tapes are being debunked as edited, yet what comes out of the mouth is hard to prove as a falsehood.  What has happened to our great land?  The land of the brave, the land of the free? Babies do not have the constitutional rights that we enjoy.  They have to fight for their lives before birth because they aren't considered humans until the moment they enter this world  Yet their body parts are considered of worth and useful. Go figure!  What is wrong is now right,  as foretold in scripture.  How can we criticize other countries and call them barbaric when we are doing barbaric things also?  Are you appalled when reading scripture how King Herod decreed that all babies under the age of two should be killed in the hopes that he would kill Jesus?  Are you appalled when you read about China killing babies after they are born so that parents only raise one child which is usually a boy?  Also, often if a woman is found to be pregnant with her second or third child she is forced to submit to an abortion.  I ask myself, where are we headed as a nation?  Are we a moral country?  Will God's wrath come upon us because of our disregard for human life?  We reap what we sow and when it is harvest time what will our country sow?  When Saint Theresa of Calcutta visited the United States she had pity for us because of our disregard for human life and said she would pray for us.  I think we should all pray for God's mercy and begin to speak out against the things we know in our heart is wrong!

Wedding Anniversary

Today my husband and I celebrate our 59th Wedding Anniversary.  Fifty Nine years ago, our celebration began at 3 p.m. and the church didn't have any air conditioning nor did the building for the reception.  Needless to say it was a very hot day in Torrington, Wy.  Comparing it to today in Cheyenne, there isn't any comparison as we are having a cool rainy day today.  The weather didn't matter to us, because we were just excited that this was the big day to join as one.  That we indeed did and we have become one more and more as the years have gone by.  We often find ourselves saying the same thing at the same time, or one of us is saying it and the other one laughs and says "I was just thinking that." We went to early morning Mass this morning and asked the priest for his blessing, which he very readily gave us.  We had a tee time to go golfing, but by the time we arrived it was drizzling and very windy, so we went in and cancelled our plans to golf.  Our daughter Val was going with us, so we went to the coffee shop and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and a beautiful time of visiting.  We drove by the apartments we own and there was our daughter and son-in-law working in the yard. They heard us say we had some urgent yard work to do and they went and did it! We planned to go to an early dinner, but by the time we had lunch we decided we wouldn't go to dinner.  So as you can see our plans all went astray, but it doesn't matter as we did what we both wanted to do and it was a beautiful day! We are greatly blessed and we thank God every day for all of his graces and blessings.  We are thankful for each day and thankful that we still have each other.  Our beautiful family is a treasure to us and we are grateful for each one.  It seems like our love for each other would have reached a peak, yet we find we are more in love and appreciate each other with every day we have.  Marriage is work and now in the twilight of it all we are retired and enjoying the fruits of it all.

TRIBUTE TO MY SISTER JANCIE

TRIBUTE TO MY SISTER JANICE

My youngest sister, Janice passed away on New Year's Day.  She was seventy one years old.She had a series of strokes two and a half years ago and never regained the use of her left side.  Therapy never seemed to help and she ended up in a nursing home unable to do anything for herself.  She was in a great deal of pain, but never complained.  The week of Christmas she was admitted to the hospital and treated for what they thought was a bladder infection, sent home and had to return to the hospital the next morning.  The doctor then ran a series of test and discovered she had stage four cancer. She lived a week.  I was able to call her several times in the hospital and tell her I loved her and was praying for her.  She could barely say hello and a yes.  I'm thankful I could talk to her. While in the nursing home, we talked on the telephone almost daily and if she forgot to tell me something she would call me right back.  It was a blessing she could talk and had a sharp mind after the strokes.  She was always positive about life and corrected me if I said anything negative.  We would reminisce about our childhood, events in our lives, family, and then we often ended by praying on the phone for each other or whatever concerns we had for others.  I know she would hang up and continue in prayer for me and my families needs.  She was a successful business woman and also tended to her many properties.  She led a busy life and loved every minute of it.  She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in her early twenties and lived her faith with vibrancy and enthusiasm.  Often leading people to the Lord and praying with them.   I already miss her laughter, her encouragement, her loving concern and talking to her on the phone.  I flew out to see her three different times while in the nursing home and these are treasured memories.  I know someday we will see each other again and right now she is enjoying her reunion with our parents, brother Fred and sister Jane. Farewell to the best sister anyone could ever have.

School starts soon and the signs are everywhere. School supplies are in and shoppers are filling their carts with the advertized specials.  I picked up five unneeded notebooks, but how can I resists at only twenty five cents each. I remember going to grade school with one notebook and a yellow #2 pencil. We didn't have backpacks or any of the frills available today. I grew up on a farm near Huntley, Wy and had to walk about a quarter of a mile to catch the school bus. On really snowy days my dad would drive us to the bus stop, but mostly my sisters and I walked and then huddled in a culvert to protect us from the harsh Wyoming winds. We were bare legged because girls weren't allowed to wear jeans or slacks except on Fridays. In the first and second grade I wore long brown stockings, if it was cold outside.
When we would hear the bus pull up, we would pop up out of the culvert and run to get on the bus.  By the time we boarded the bus it was about half full and I always opted for a seat up front. Some of the farm boys on the bus could be downright mean, so it was safer to ride up front. Huntley school consisted of a  grade school, jr.high and high school. There was an average of twenty to twenty five students in each class. We all were farm kids and almost everyone rode a bus to school. School started at 8:30 and dismissed at 4 p.m.
The major focus at our school was to learn! Reading, writing and arithmetic. Looking back, we received a good education and no monkey business was tolerated. We had lockers to put our books and personal belongings in and there weren't any locks on them.  I don't remember anyone ever getting anything stolen!
We recited the  Pledge of Allegiance and the teacher offered a prayer to start our day. We respected our teachers and studied hard to get good grades. We had extra curricular activities like music, sports, school plays, band, FHA, FFA, etc. One thing you could count on was homework! We didn't have any television, so evenings when home, were spent doing homework. I could go on and on about what school was like when I was growing up, however that could get boring. I admire the teachers of today because it is often a thankless job and many of them put their heart and soul into their profession.  (I know, because I have many teachers in my family!)  So, give your kids a loving send off and encourage them as they start the new school year.

4th of July - Past

Nostalgic memories -
Always a picnic
at the lake.
Swimming and fishing
Aunts, Uncles and Cousins
have joined us.
Free to run and play
No worries or cares
It's the 4th of July!
Celebrating our Nation's
Freedom.
We all knew it was a day
to honor our country and
the freedom we have.
A picnic lunch is ready
to eat.
Gathering around the
picnic table.
We all enjoy this time
together.
We pop all our fireworks
in late afternoon.
Say our goodbyes
and head for home
Tired, but happy
we live in the

My mother Viola Strecker

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and I am happy to be able to go to my granddaughter's home to enjoy a brunch with my family that lives here.  Being a mother has been a privilege that I enjoy.  I loved the years when my children all lived at home and I could nurture, raise and be with them.  One hears often "Enjoy these years when your children are young because they go all too fast!" How true it was! I have had the joy of watching my children become parents and raising them to be good people. In March I became a great grandmother for the first time. All of these events hit home how fast life goes by.  My mother passed away January 1990 and at times I long to be with her and just sit and visit. She was a good mother and tomorrow I will honor her in a special way on Mothers Day.  She raised seven children and worked hard on the farm where I was raised.  Her cooking was 'par excellant' and I think of her whenever I cook some of her dishes that I loved. She took us to Sunday School and Church every Sunday and I'm thankful for the spirituality that she passed on to me.  She taught me how to work until the chore was finished and to not be lazy. My clothes were made by her hands and I in turn learned to sew.  I owe a great debt of gratitude to her for the way she raised me for I am the person I am today because of her.  So I begin this day honoring my mother, Viola Strecker and thank God for choosing her to bring me to this earth.

"A New Day"

Happy February! So good to feel the sunshine today and have temperatures on the plus side! I'm dog sitting for my daughter this week and the dog did not want to go outside, however she was excited to go for a long walk today.  We enjoyed the walk until we came to a street that no one had bothered to clear their sidewalks, so that was a bit like tramping in the back country! I've been trying my hand at some poetry the past few months so I am going to share with you "A New Day" which I wrote one very early morning. Hope it inspires you to spend some time in prayer when you are up early.

A NEW DAY

I awaken early each morning
tossing and turning.
It’s no use – I get up.
The darkness hasn’t lifted
I await the light.
All is quiet and calm.
It is good to be up and awake.
No noise to clutter my brain.

What to do first?
Thank God for a new day.
Praise him for being with me
through the night.
Love and adore him and
acknowledge I am nothing
without Him.
Read His Holy Word.
Let it speak deep within.

Ready for the day
with God by my side.
Nothing can shake me -
I am steady as a rock.
God has prepared me
for whatever comes my way.
His love enfolds me
and tenderness surrounds me.

The light is beginning
to shine through the window.
My soul has been nourished
I’m ready to begin,
a new day has dawned.

Graduation

I am sure we are all shivering at certain times during this latest cold spell.  I woke up early this morning and after being up only a minute decided to crawl back into my warm bed. The electric blanket was still on and it felt so nice and toasty.  I don’t know if it is an old wives tale, but I used to hear that a really good cold spell kills all of the germs that are in the air.  I certainly hope so, because I have had two colds already and winter isn’t even officially here.  My husband and I went to Laramie on Friday to attend our grandson’s graduation and it was bitter cold there.  However, seeing Craig graduate warmed our hearts and the tears welled up in our eyes as we watched him walk across the stage and stretch out his hand to receive his diploma. This is a beautiful milestone in his life and a proud moment for all of his family.  I always feel so very grateful when someone from my family accomplishes a goal they have set out to do and getting a good education is one goal that I am especially happy about.  Raising six children has afforded me many opportunities to attend graduation ceremonies and so far I have attended all of them from High School, College, Master Degrees, and Doctor Degrees.  I’ve been to six grandchildren’s high school graduations and four college graduations and have two grandchildren that will graduate from college in the next few years.  I have four little grandchildren ages 3-7 and am hopeful I can attend theirs as well.  All in all that is a lot of speeches to hear and tears to shed, but seeing them all reach their goal is a proud moment that is etched in my memory.  So, back to the minus degree temperatures we have been having, it was worth the time and effort it took to trek over the hill to attend one more beautiful celebration and to be there to give a big hug to my smiling grandso

Fun with granddaughter

I am so thankful that our country sets aside a special day to give thanks! I awakened early Thanksgiving morning and the first thing on my mind was the many things I am thankful for.  First off – I thanked the Lord for a good night’s sleep.  I had been having pretty restless nights as my muscles have been aching and I can’t sleep on the side I’m used to sleeping on.  So to have a restful night for a change was truly something to be thankful for.  I thanked the Lord for the safe arrival of my family from up state. Later in the day I thanked him for the phone calls from my family that could not come for Thanksgiving, but will come for Christmas. I am very thankful for my three year old granddaughter.  She is such a joy and fun to be with. I was playing “My Little Ponies” with her and we had them all lined up in a row. Seven of them. I asked her what we should do with the little ponies? She replied “Oh just let them horse around.” She is always coming up with really cute little sayings and also trying out big words.  I asked her if she would like some chicken noodle soup and she said: “Grandma, I don’t particularly like that.”  She is also into great imagination in her play.  We start to play together and soon she is in her own little world talking to herself and having great fun with whatever she is playing with.
My daughter and son-in-law helped us bring up the tree decorations from the basement today and then said “Let’s just put the tree up too.”  I was dreading my husband and I having to do it next week and having all of the boxes setting in the family room, so this was an unexpected blessing.  We all pitched in and soon the house was decorated and the tree looks very pretty. So, I have much to be thankful for in just the past two days.  My daughter prepared the Thanksgiving feast and had us all to her home, so I didn’t have to do that and my husband and I could just enjoy everyone.  I did my Christmas shopping in early November and decided we would only buy gifts for the four young grandchildren. That was quite a challenge!  As soon as I thought I was finished I received telephone calls with ideas of what they would like. Naturally nothing I bought was on their lists!  So we rushed out and bought one nice item that they each had requested. Our older grandchildren like getting money, so they are easy.
All in all it was a wonderful week filled with many blessings and to me the greatest blessing is to having family all gathered around the Thanksgiving table eating a hearty meal, laughing and enjoying this time together.

Rain

I have lived in Wyoming for sixty eight years and I never remember a week of constant rain like we have had this past week.  Many people prayed for rain this summer when it was so hot and dry and now it appears we may have to invoke the Lord to stop the rain.  I am not a Meteorologist, so I don't understand why our area is being deluged right now with so much rain and our neighbors in Colorado are experiencing flooding. I do wonder what it was like in the days of Noah living in a dessert  and he was building an Ark to prepare for the great flood.  He must have been called crazy by many, but he just kept building it anyway and obeyed God so that his family and animals would be saved.  When a flood comes, oftentimes lives are lost and great destruction takes place and one may wonder why did God allow this to happen?  I don't have any answers to that question, but I do believe it is a time to turn to God in our great need and allow him to help us just as he did Noah and his family.  I guess the bigger question is: Do you turn to God daily and spend time with him in prayer?  Or do you wait until something devastating happens and then cry out to God to save you?  Hopefully, you are developing a relationship with His Son Jesus and know Him personally.  During my prayer time with Jesus I began to write down what I felt he was speaking to me in my heart and thus my book "Living Waters: Writings from the Heart of a Christian" came about.  My second book, "Living Waters Volume II; A Message of Hope," gives you an inside view of my conversations with Jesus.  If you are struggling with your prayer life, I believe either one of my books will help you.  Don't put off praying until you are desperate but know that God loves you and desires to have a relationship with you, so come to Him now and don't wait until a flood comes and you are hanging on with all of your life.  Reach out and He will throw you a life line and bring you to dry land.

I guess there is a reason for the saying "There's no place like home!"  My husband and I took a six day trip driving across Wyoming. We loved driving through the Wind River Canyon, the beautiful scenery outside of Cody on the way to Yellowstone and in Yellowstone. Teton National Park is worth the trip in itself and then the Hoback Canyon on the way to Pinedale is really a breathtaking drive. As a long time Wyomingite I am happy that we have such beauty in our state and we can enjoy it. We golfed in Worland and in Cody and both courses were in great shape and fun to play.  We soaked in one of the hot mineral pools in Thermopolis and visited our friend, Father Hugo Blotsky who is the pastor at  the local catholic church. We ate alot of fast food, but also dined at some very good restaurants.  My ninety eight year old Aunt is in a nursing home in Worland so we took time to go visit her.  She is in an Alzheimers unit and we knew she probably wouldn't know us, however we seemed to sense a glimmer in her eye as we greeted her. She also talked to us about things she did and would add some of the expressions I remembered her saying over the years. We left feeling sad that her last years are being spent in the nursing home, however she is receiving good care and we were happy that we could see her one more time before she goes to her eternal home. We drove to the Heart Mountain Relocation Center to visit the museum that depicts life behind barbed wire for the American Japanese during World War II. It is hard for me to believe our country did that to its citizens, however war is war and to President Roosevelt it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Hopefully we learn from past mistakes! We spent an afternoon at the Buffalo Bill Museum and didn't see it all. We began our trip by attending a Wedding Anniversary Mass at St. Patrick's in Casper to honor and bless couples that have been married for twenty five, thirty, thirty five, forty, fifty years and above.  Ray and I have been married fifty seven years and we are grateful for the beautiful celebration Mass by Bishop Etienne. We left Casper and drove to Thermopolis to spend the night as that is the town we started our married life. The apartment we lived in is still there and much of the town looks the same as we remembered it. It was good to relive some of the places we have been in the past, but as I began this blog it is always so good to be home!

My Son David

I am just like every other mom in that I am very proud of my children and their accomplishments. Even if they hadn't accomplished anything that the world deems as great or special, I would be proud of them just because they are a part of me and God's gift to me.  My children are all very special to me and I love each one because of their uniqueness and the love they give back to me.  That being said, I wish to focus on my son, David who recently was announced the winner of the Ashby Prize given by the Editors of Environment and Planning A.  The Ashby Prize is for the most innovative paper published in their journal for the year 2012. It is quite an honor just to be published in a premier geography journal not alone win their award of the year. David's paper is titled "Performing carbon's materiality: the production of carbon offsets and the framing of exchange."  They award two prizes and the other one was awarded to Jessica Dubow for her paper titled "A therapeutics of exile: Isaiah Berlin, liberal pluralism and the psyche of assimilation".
My son David, is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Systems at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He received his PhD from the Ohio State University's Geography Department and the fieldwork for this particular paper was done in Costa Rica.  He received a Fulbright scholarship and funding from the Social Science Research Council and also Ohio State's Climate, Water, Carbon program. I wish to take this opportunity to publicly thank my son for all of his hard work and to congratulate him on a job well done! I know it sounds like I am bragging and I am! That is what mothers do!

My flower garden

Today I worked in my flower garden and I must say it felt so good to be outside in the sunshine and working with my hands. I received two beautiful rose bushes for Mother's Day and they were already loaded with roses. So that was a good start to put those in the ground. I went to several nurseries and purchased some perennials as I would like to have most of the garden come back every year. The one thing I noticed as I shopped around, was that prices are up on everything, living and green. I am also trusting that we won't have a freeze between now and June first! Hail was forecast for yesterday and today, so I had buckets ready to cover the expensive plants so they wouldn't get pounded on. However, we only had a light rain and then the sun came out in all of its glory. Are you like me - in a hurry to get things in the ground even though you have to be watchful with the weather? Sometimes I'm that way with the Lord - in a hurry to see my prayers answered! I remind myself that God is always on time and never late or early. I know it is best to pray and then just wait on the Lord to act in His time, but I keep knocking at the door like he never got the message. Answered prayers are like a beautiful flower garden - keep track of them in a notebook and soon they bloom out all over the page.

Did you get a special Valentine's card from someone you love? My husband always seems to find just the right card and with the right sentiment written on it. He just has a special knack for picking out cards whether its for Valentine's Day, my birthday or our anniversary. I, on the other hand tend to choose something simple and not much wording on it. However, I often write a note in it or like this Valentine's Day I wrote him a love letter and added it to the card. If you find it too difficult to write a love letter I want to encourage you to just try it and know it will be well received as long as it is heart felt! So to help you out, I will share with you my love letter to my husband of 56 years. So with my husband's permission, here goes: Valentine's Day is a special time to express my deep love for you and I want you to know I do love you deeply, sincerely, and heartfelt. I have loved you these many years together and have never stopped loving you. Even in turbulent times, my love for you never lifted. You are my knight in shining armor. You are my prize, my man, my lover, my protector, my provider, my friend, my companion, my soul mate, my bed partner. You are so much more and it is hard to put it all on paper. You are a part of me! You are the father of my children, the head of our home and my prayer partner. You are the one God chose for me to live out my life with. God doesn't make mistakes and he certainly made a wise decision when he set you aside for me. I thank Him for you and I thank you for staying by my side and going through this journey of life with me. It has been quite a ride and we haven't reached our destination yet, so who knows what lies ahead - only that we have come this far and we will complete what God has started for us. I love you my Dearest Husband! Happy Valentine's Day

Obedience

January is going by so very quickly and I didn't even make a new year's resolution yet. Perhaps I will just skip it this year because custom dictates that it should be made on the 1st of January.  So I guess that means I don't have to try and lose weight, get organized, etc. as I never made that resolution! Works good for me! Seriously, for all of you reading my blog I do hope that you are successful in whatever you are doing to fulfill that New Year's Resolution.  Lately I have run into a number of people that have been losing lots of weight. Just this past weekend I visited with an old friend that lost sixty five pounds this past year. One of my sons has lost weight by being disciplined and following the diet plan he began months ago.  This leads me to believe that discipline is key to being able to accomplish whatever goal you are striving for.  I know it takes discipline, plus desire, to sit and pray each day and listen to the Lord. It takes discipline to be obedient to whatever God asks you to do. It takes discipline to set aside the Sabbath and go to church and let it be His day.  It takes discipline to read the Bible every day. I could go on and on, however I know you get the drift of what I am writing. It took discipline for me to write two books and get them published and as I look back I know it was the grace of God that helped me. My desire in doing it was to be obedient to what God was asking of me. It is in obedience to God's will that true satisfaction and peace comes to my soul.
May you all experience peace and joy this new year.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas I said to my husband as we drove to the store for an evening purchase.  Many of the neighborhood homes were lit up and decorated. I couldn't help but think how quickly it all had come about. We slipped in a CD by Robert Bubley and enjoyed our first Christmas music of the season.   Little by little the Spirit of Christmas begins to invade my very being and the excitement of giving takes hold.  Jesus came to give up his life for me and you so that we may have eternal life.  He set the supreme example of giving!  I like the idea of giving something of myself. Something I have created and hopefully enjoyed by others.  I also like the idea of giving monetary gifts to those who need it and in these difficult times it becomes increasingly harder to discern which appeal to give to.
I know money can be tight this time of year, so I am  offering you my Blog readers a special price of $10.00 each for my two books:  "Living Waters:Writings from the Heart of a Christian and Living Waters Volume II: A Message of Hope." If you e-mail me at:  http://livingwatersauthor@gmail.com. and state you read my blog and would like the special price I will mail you a signed copy.  Shipping would run $3.00.  This is the first time I have offered a special price for my books, but in the spirit of giving I would like to provide you with an opportunity to give a good spiritual book to someone for an affordable price. Have a Merry Christmas!

Sunday, November 11, 2012

In a few weeks we will be sitting down with family or friends to enjoy a Thanksgiving Feast.  Turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, cranberry relish, salads, pumpkin and pecan pie, etc. will be eaten by most of us. I love the smells that surround the kitchen as I prepare this meal. I love having my family come and enjoy it together and the varied conversations that ensue as we all overeat and enjoy this once a year feast.  We start the meal with a prayer of thanksgiving and sometimes invite anyone who wishes to say a prayer of thanks to join in.  It is a wonderful day and one I look forward to each year.  This year I have made a list of what I am most thankful for and spent some time with the Lord thanking him.  Some of the things on my list are:  Thank you Lord for choosing me to follow you. Thank you Lord for dying on the cross so that I may have life - life abundant. Thank you Lord for the beautiful, warm home you have provided for me. Thank you Lord that my daily necessities are provided and that I never have to go to bed hungry.  Thank you Lord for the very special family you have given me. Thank you for my parents who gave me life and for my dear wonderful siblings.  Thank you Lord for friends and the neighborhood you have placed me in.  Thank you Lord for the freedoms I enjoy and that I am able to express myself because of freedom of speech.  Thank you Lord for my country and city that I live in.  Thank you Lord that I was able to grow up on a farm and enjoy the good life that it provided, and also to learn how to work. Thank you Lord for the talents you have given me and that I enjoy expressing myself through them.  Thank you for a kind and loving husband! Thank you for my church and that I can receive you in the Eucharist every time I go to Mass.  Thank you for dwelling within me and for speaking to me with your still small voice in the silence of my heart.  Thank you Lord that I can get up each new day and praise you for another day and the beauty of it.  Thank you Lord that I can write this blog to allow others to see some of the many things that I am most thankful for.
 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Discussing the debates

There seems to be great diversity among us when discussing the Presidential debates.  You may find with certain people it is best to avoid the topic.  We each have our own favorite candidate and naturally stick up for him and defend him.  I am no different, but basically my desire is to see our country become a moral and God fearing land.  We have strayed so far from the ten commandments that I am afraid the lessons of old will be repeated and we will be allowed to wander in the desert.  We have all heard the old saying "your sins will find you out"!
So, I don't feel we can continue on the path of immorality and not pay the price.  However, our God is merciful and forgiving and we can pray that He will forgive us and heal our land.  I also pray that we are all guided as we go into the booth to cast our vote. I also love the fact that we can have our own opinions and freely express them as long as we stay the home of the brave and the land of the free!  God bless you all!

Pray for the election

I watched the Presidential debate this week, along with millions of other Americans and am now convinced more than ever that I need to pray harder then ever for our country.  I am praying that truth will prevail and that the evil darts of the enemy will not be allowed to be part of the next debate.  I believe that America is still in God's heart and that he desires the very best for all of us, so we need to do our part and pray for God's choice to be elected.  A Godly President will lead the American people back to being a moral nation that follows God and his laws.  An ungodly President will divide and lead the people into diversity and immorality. Thus, it is so very important that all who are called by God's name cry out, full-throated and with repentance on their lips and in their heart for God's choice to serve the next four years.    Good things happen when Godly people pray with a sincere heart and pray for our country to become a Godly nation.  We cannot afford to sit idly by and let our country be taken over by foreign gods.  We can learn a lesson from scripture where God's people were led into debauchery and evil and then had to wander in the wilderness for forty years.  Let us come before the throne of grace pleading for mercy for our country and the Lord will hear our prayers and heal our land.
